View Reconciliation  

Reconciliation.  So much to swallow within that 14 letter word.  Webster says to reconcile means to restore friendship, harmony, or balance.  It can also mean to compare accounts for accuracy, much like comparing your checking account register to your monthly bank statements.  The ‘two accounts’ being compared during reconciliation is the existence of the relationship before the transgression, versus the existence of the relationship after it occurred.  While on the surface, reconciliation seems like a wonderful idea and one that people would universally embrace, that’s typically not the case.  Far too often a multitude of obstacles stand in the way.  Things like hurt, envy, pride, selfishness, and hate to name just a few
